Skill Plan
With movement reduction and 300 damage dealing in 400 range, Thunder Clap is sure to be the first skill to the max level. It's pretty useful in ganking, pushing and farming. Which one should be the next core skill, Drunken Haze or Drunken Brawler? It depends. If more magical heroes in the opposite team, you can totally skip Drunken Haze. Drunken Brawler is a really great passive skill for Brewmaster. Considering get 2 points on your stats enhancement before level 6 instead of the passive skill if enemies get too many nuke skills.

They are the best items with decent performance-price ratio. Good stats and some healing items help you stay in lane longer.
Core

For a long time, Blink Dagger served as the first item for Brewmaster for ganking. After Icefrog adding the Aghanim's Scepter effect on Brewmaster's ulti, now it's essential for you, some times more important than the dagger. It is clear that Brewmaster will work as a tank/2nd dps/2nd support in group in the new version of dota. Vanguard is not that useful than it was. If you worry about the nuke, you can take it, though.

Alts:
Absorb a round of attacks and damages in group fights first as a tank, throw Thunder Clap and Drunken Haze, then cast the Primal Split. After splitting, make full use of the disabling skills of Earth and Storm, attack the enemies with Fire's overwhelming abilities. Storm is able to farm and chase the hero with its wind walk. Earth take charge in absorbing damages. Practically, you can use Hurl Boulder and Wind Walk twice and then you are back into the normal form again. Thunder Clap and Drunken Haze, again, are your best friends in farming the low HP heroes.
