Tips on Slark
Slark is a fragile hero so you to be careful while farming, especially before level 6. Your goal is to last hit every creep and farm the Power Treads as soon as possible. When you reach level 6 and have basic items like Power Treads and Magic Wand, try to gank every enemy that is on the map. While playing Slark, you have to keep your mind active, your eye must be on minimap all the time, tracking the movement of enemy heroes. Slark is a very powerful hero in the start! Slark is an inborn fragile-heroes killer, like Traxex, Shadowfiend who have no stun. Do NOT try to kill disablers such as. Lion, Lina etc easily. Or you will be anti-killed easily.
For skill build, some may first take Pounce, Essence Shift and last take Dark Pact. But for me, I prefer Dark Pact as it deals lots of damage with short CD and a little mana cost, which helps a lot for killing heroes, especially in early game. For me, Shadow Dance>Dark Pact>Pounce>Essence Shift. Another reason Dark Pact is an important skill for me is that, it is a mini bkb and it is very helpful for eacaping.
For item build, it really depends on the game itself. If you are playing against heroes with high dps in early/mid game, you can first buy a Vanguard. But if you are against heroes with disabled skills, BKB or Manta Style would be nice choices. For heroes like Nyx Assasin, Rhasta or Dagon carriers, You can consider Linken’s Sphere.
For group fights, be careful and not to be disabled and killed at the beginning. You have to play like Stealthy like an Assassin to pwn your enemies, you dodge their stuns/disables with Dark Pact on right timing. After you have BKB, you can go into enemies and kill their main disablers like lion, lina etc. And get away before BKB stat disappear. When you’re on low HP during a fight, just walk back for few seconds and your HP will fully regenerate then join the battle again.
